MusicLinks - Singing

TBA North is a partnership between Bluebird Foundation and St Francis Xavier School. The program provides arts learning for educators, families and children from birth to Year 4.

PlayLinks is a weekly, facilitated art and music group session for parents/carers and their 0-5 year olds. MusicLinks is an extended transition-to-school program for parents/carers and their pre-Foundation children and ClassLinks completes the extended transition-to-school program with parents/carers invited into the classroom to learn with their Foundation children. It is a great way to meet other families and staff members.

SingingLinks - Singing

Deakin University - Deakin Engagement Access Program (DEAP)

Students from St Francis Xavier School attend activity days organised by students at Deakin University. This is a coordinated program of activities offered each year to students from Year 4 to Year 6, and are facilitated both at St Francis Xavier School, and at the university. The program aims to build on students’ aspirations and awareness to introduce university as a desirable and achievable pathway.

Deakin University/ Ardoch Youth Foundation - ‘Literacy Buddies’

For many years, ‘Little Buddies’ in Year 6 at St Francis Xavier School have written to ‘Big Buddies’, volunteer Deakin students, at Deakin University. Ardoch Youth Foundation facilitates the program, which supports Literacy and social skills. The buddies meet twice in the year, and celebrate the relationship at year’s end.

Sacred Heart College, Geelong - Felicity Project

The Felicity Project is facilitated by students of Sacred Heart College, Geelong. Every term student representatives from St Francis Xavier School attend after school activities at Sacred Heart College. The purpose of the project is to give our primary school students opportunities to have fun, and to have new experiences, all while enjoying the school and its facilities. It is where they can meet and talk with some of the teachers and students of Sacred Heart College.

Students from Sacred Heart College also support students of St Francis Xavier School by volunteering to assist during Literacy and Mathematics sessions.
